Exciting News

I am so excited for Michael that I just have to share his news!
(Yes, in the most loving way this is a little bit of a dig because I knew Michael would not get on here to share it with everyone. Go ahead, prove me wrong. Yeah...didn't think so. ) :)
Anyway - Michael found out today that his promotion went through!! There were a lot of issues and after a lot of persistence on Michael's part everything got corrected and they got "the call" today to say it went through!!

CONGRATULATIONS Michael!!!! We are so proud of you!!!!!

Because of this, if anyone plans on sending Michael anything, let me know before you send it because his mailing address is a little different now from the one I originally had sent.

Autism Speaks

My family gathered together for a bowling benefit to raise money for the Autism Speaks organization. We all had a fantastic time and everyone was very generous for a very worthy cause!! Xavier absolutely loved bowling!! His favorite color right now is orange so it was an added bonus to have an orange ball!! Granted he had bumpers up and I didn't, but I think one game he scored better than I did. I know, I know...shocking!
For the life of me, I can not remember what category Angela scored the highest in...but she did...so CONGRATS!
Once all of the bowling was over, some were even breaking it down! Go Uncle Mike!! (He always has been a kid at heart and that is why we all love him!!)

Swinging Good Time

Xavier loves to swing! We swing & sing (yeah, my poor neighbors) almost every night. Since the weather was so nice Saturday we were outside most the day!!

"I can do it myself Mom!!" That is what Xavier said as he was pushing himself on the teeter-todder swing. He pushed himself for at least 20 minutes. He is getting too big!

After a long time on the swings, we decided to practice our swing (do you like the tie in?) and play a little baseball!

I had to throw a picture of the dogs in too. Buddy & Lilly like the nice weather also.

Pool Pics

I just got our water camera developed which had some pool pictures from Summer thus far. We have had a lot of water fun so far and can not wait to have even more fun over the next month!
These next 2 are from Mark Twain Lake. I swear the pool water was just lake water, but the boys didn't care!
Good catch Caleb!

Tyler did a belly-flop every time in, but I think he actually caught this one!!

Back in June Hannah (and Julie) came over to swim with us. Hannah liked the water so much she fell asleep in the little boat.

We LOVE Summer!!!

New J-O-B!

Yes, that is right I have given my 2 week notice to SAVVIS and I am moving on! I have been there a little over 2 1/2 years, but I am excited about my new adventure!! I start on 8/18 at Charter Communications. I will be doing the exact thing there that I am doing now. I know several of you think of me like Chandler from Friends...you know I have a job but you have no clue what I do...well, my job title is a Telco Cost Analyst. That is just a fancy way to say I pay the bills. :)

Since I am leaving SAVVIS, I started cleaning out old e-mails and I came across the link of when Xavier was on the news!! This was back in 2006 when the Cardinals were in the World Series. To my surprise, you can still access the story through the news channels website. Here is the link...Xavier's part is at about the 1.43 point in the story:

I have always known my little guy is a star! :)

Mark Twain Lake

Xavier and I headed off to Mark Twain Lake for the weekend with Michael's family. The water was unbelievably high and because of that, there were no beaches but we made the most of it and had lots of boat time!!! It was a fun filled time with Grandma Janice, Grandpa Carmen, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Sarah, Caleb & Tyler!! Xavier loves his chips! I think all he did was eat while on the boat!
Did you buy your tickets to the gun show?

Caleb & Tyler started off going in the tube with Mom & Dad, but by the end of the trip, they were going only with each other. They have come so far in even a year!!

Just look at those tough guys!!! Xavier had a blast with Caleb & Tyler!! He loves his cousins!

Captain Xavier reporting for duty! And what is his favorite part of driving the boat? Honking the horn!! (beep beep!!)

Xavier is so lucky to have Aunt Sarah & Uncle Jeff in his life!

It really was a fun weekend! The weather was beautiful and there definitely was not a shortage of laughs. This was exactly what the doctor ordered for both Xavier and I! I am so blessed to have married into such a wonderful family!

It's Potty Time!

Last weekend Xavier and I had a Potty Party! Mom was finally ready to start the whole potty training process. (Yes, Xavier has probably been ready for a few months, but I was not.) I actually set up his little potty chair in the living room on a few towels and had Xavier go commando the entire weekend. Xavier took right to it and could not be prouder of himself! I am very happy to report that we have been diaper free all week (except at night) and we have only had 3 small accidents since Saturday morning!!! This whole process has been quite exhausting, but I am so proud of my little man!
So all I have been able to talk & think about this entire week is potty. I have talked about it everyday with anyone who will listen. And do you know what I have discovered? Once the subject has been brought up, everyone else just wants to talk about potty too. Everyone has to tell you about how they or how they heard was the best way. I have gotten the most advise on how to help little boys have better aim. I know when I worked at the day care we put Cheerios's in the toilet and had them try and get a bulls-eye. After hearing every one's suggestions, I still think that will work best.
But, my question to all of you is...how do I teach a boy to stand and go potty? After thinking long and hard I have decided that is just something Xavier will have to wait to learn until Daddy comes home. Quite honestly, I do not care if Xavier sits until he moves out and gets married. That is just less I will have to clean up. :)

Is there anything cuter than a little boy in his favorite character underwear?

Happy Birthday Bec

Happy Birthday to one of my best friends - Bec!
Bec was actually in town and we got to visit earlier this week. She brought Xavier a gift...the Fun Hop Ball!! Xavier has been so funny on this thing because he keeps falling off. This is something that definitely will take some practice. Until then, he likes laying on it and rolling around!
Thanks again and Happy Birthday Bec!!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Dear Daddy! Happy Birthday to YOU!!! Today is my Daddy's birthday! A few weeks ago, Mom had a birthday party for Daddy even though he could not be here. We took lots of pictures of his party and then mailed them to him in his Birthday Care Package.
Mommy even made the dogs get in on the "fun."
I hope Daddy has a great birthday!!! Mommy and I wish we could help you celebrate!

Happy 4th of July!

We hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July!! Here is Xavier showing off a little American Pride! We had a fantastic 4th holiday! The 4th will now always have an extra special place in my family's hearts because it was the day my niece Michelle got married. We all had such a great time, everything went smooth, and we could not have asked for better weather!! An 80 degree day on the 4th of July?!? That never happens! Here are the happy couple; Brett and Michelle.
The wedding ceremony was at Brett and Michelle's house in their backyard. It was such a neat ceremony. Because it was going to be such a small intimate ceremony, I wanted to ensure Xavier was super good and was not going to make noise or running around. How do you keep a 2 1/2 year old quiet and still you ask? Skittles!! Some Moms reading this might be gasping right now...let me just tell you all...this mom is not over bribery! Look how content Xavier is...that was him through the entire wedding!

And here is Xavier with Pa-Paw!! That's 2 good looking men right there!

The rest of the night was filled with wonderful people and a fun time dancing the night away! Congratulations Brett and Michelle! Thanks for hosting a great 4th of July party!
